Party Like A Rock Star

Evelyn is a late night party girl.  She has been known to strip down to her diaper before, but the other night Matt and I heard her up in her crib around 4 am ~ talking, maybe singing and dancing  ~ and this is what I found when I went to get her in the morning.  It must of been a crazy night with her and her stuffed animals.

Breakfast With Santa

We had breakfast with Santa this past weekend.  Evelyn was skeptical.  She did not cry, or scream.... but she would not sit on his lap.  She just kept staring! 

Needless to say, Mom is in all the pics with Santa, so we may be trying another venue for an actual Evelyn on Santa's lap photo.

And I should mention that Evelyn may have had her first sugar high.  I do not think we have ever given her straight orange juice, so when she got a taste of it at breakfast she sucked it down.  She turned into crazy girl.

Oh Christmas Tree!

Picking out our Christmas Tree at Home Depot in Lincoln Park.  Not quite the tree farm we were looking for... but the tree is perfect!

Thanksgiving

We had a great time in Des Moines for Thanksgiving.  Our big feast was at the Mulvihill house and it was fabulous!  Evelyn enjoyed the dinner with her cousins, and also enjoyed the nice weather and the chance to get out and play at the park.

Meow!!!

Evelyn had her Halloween party tonight with all her little play group friends.  It was quite a change from last year when they were all just sitting on the ground playing with a single toy. Thanks to Jen and Taylor for hosting us again.  It was a great time.... and I am sure they are still cleaning up all the goldfish off the floor!

The costumes were really cute - and I got just a few pictures this time - these kids are on the move.

What Housing Slump?

Evelyn just got her first new home/playhouse!

She is having a lot of fun hiding from us, and has invited both of us over for a visit.

The Green's

We headed over to Michigan last weekend to visit our friends Lori, Bjorn, Mia and Elle Green.

We had a great time!  Their home is just beautiful and Evelyn enjoyed playing in their huge yard.  The kids played in the leaves and we all really enjoyed a great fall weekend!

We headed to South Bend to cheer on the Irish with Mike and Mary Lisa last weekend!

It was a great day ~ and another Irish victory!

18 Months

Evelyn had her 18 month check up this evening.

There is no question this girl is going to be tall!  She measured 35 1/2" and weighs 27 lbs.

She is about the average height of a 2 1/2 year old!

It's Gonna Happen......

We squeezed in one more home game Thursday afternoon prior to them securing their spot in the playoffs.  It may  be Evelyn's last game of the season, but hopefully not Matt and I's!

So Much To Catch Up On.....

It has been a while since our last post (over a month for those who have called me).  To say that we had a busy August would be a understatement. Here is what we have been up to ~

Evelyn and I spent a week in Des Moines visiting family, friends, going to the Iowa State Fair and celebrating a wedding at the Mulvihill Farm.  

We got back to Chicago just in time for the Air and Water Show, which is always a great weekend in the city. 

Then Evelyn and I, along with a two of our friends and babies went to Saugatuck, MI for a few days.

Once we were back from Michigan we headed down to St. Louis with Matt to see Bruce Springsteen with Mike, ML, Kelly and Michelle.

The next week we headed to the White's Lake House for a wonderful Labor Day weekend.

Then I headed off to Vegas for 4 days for the Kids Trade Show.

As you can see we were on the road the last month.  We had some great trips!  It was a nice way to cap off summer but we are also really happy to be home and unpack! :)

Evelyn has started her fall classes.  She is taking Spanish and also Baby Ballet.  

As for Matt and I~ Notre Dame Football is in full swing, the Cubs are winning and the Bears, well, we are still watching and cheering them on!
